How to spin the arrow
- Keep the eight compass directions, or enter your own options in the box.
- Select Apply options after editing, then select Spin the arrow.
- Read the result below the wheel. Spin again for a fresh choice, or check Recent spins.
Why use an arrow spinner?
Use it to choose a direction for a classroom activity, pick a prompt, or decide who takes the next turn. The eight-direction preset gives you a starting point; custom labels let the same wheel choose a color, a name, or an activity.
Every option occupies the same amount of space and has the same chance of being selected. Previous results do not change the next spin, so getting the same answer twice is possible. Agree on the options before you start if you are sharing the decision with other people.
How to add custom options
Replace the directions with one option per line. Add between two and twelve distinct labels, with up to 24 characters in each. Select Apply options to update the wheel. Reset directions restores the original compass labels.
Your options and the last twelve results stay in this open page. They are not uploaded by this tool or saved for another visit. Clear history removes the visible list; reloading resets both the list and your options.

How does the arrow choose a result?
Each option has one equally sized sector. The tool uses your browser’s cryptographic random-number generator to select a sector, then animates the arrow toward that choice.
Can I add my own options?
Yes. Enter 2–12 different options, one per line, and select Apply options. Each label can contain up to 24 characters. All options have equal weight.
Is the arrow spinner free?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser, with no download or account required.
Will the same option come up twice?
It can. Each spin is a new random selection, so previous results do not remove options or change the odds.
Are my options or results saved?
Options and the last 12 results stay in this open page. Reloading or closing it resets them. The tool does not upload your options or results.
Does it work on a phone?
The layout adapts to smaller screens and the controls work with a tap. You can also operate the form and Spin button with a keyboard.
