Tangrams
Fill the silhouette with the available geometric pieces. Compare edges and corners, then move, rotate and mirror pieces until the shapes fit together.
How to place and turn pieces
Tangrams asks you to fill a target silhouette using geometric pieces. Drag a piece toward the part of the outline that seems to match it. Click or tap to rotate, and double-click or double-tap to mirror a piece when its orientation needs to change.
Compare the outline with the available shapes before committing to an arrangement. Large triangles cover substantial areas, while smaller pieces often finish a narrow corner or connect larger sections. The goal is a complete fit, with the pieces working together to form the silhouette.
Read the outline before filling the middle
Begin with distinctive boundaries. A sharp point suggests a different placement from a long flat edge. Look for a piece whose angle or side can account for that boundary, then test its orientation against the rest of the shape.
Do not assume the first convincing placement is final. A piece can look correct locally while leaving an awkward space that none of the remaining pieces can fill. If that happens, revisit the earlier placement rather than forcing a smaller piece into an unsuitable gap.
Rotation and mirroring solve different problems. Rotating changes the direction a piece faces; mirroring reverses its handedness. If you keep turning a piece and its sloping edge still faces the wrong way, test the mirror action before abandoning that part of the outline.
Compare the unused pieces with the remaining space
As the silhouette fills, inspect what remains on both sides of the puzzle: the uncovered area and the pieces you have not placed. Their angles and proportions should make sense together. A small triangular gap is informative when you still have a matching triangle available; it is a warning when all the remaining pieces have incompatible boundaries.

Tangrams questions
How do I mirror a piece?
Use a double-click or double-tap on the piece. A single click or tap rotates it in this HTMLGames version.
Is this an arrow-removal game?
No. Tangrams is about fitting geometric shapes into a silhouette. It is included as a related spatial puzzle, with its own controls and rules.
